Black Diamond Sports has two teams: Black Diamond Snake Park and Black Diamond Doornkop/Sunrise. We celebrated our first anniversary by launching the second team in Snake Park in August 2024. Both youth teams compete in Siyakha Football League, using Sunrise grounds for their home games. These junior squads exhibit impressive skills and unwavering dedication to football while showcasing the thriving talent within these leagues. With each kickoff or goal scored during playtime, every member competes fiercely yet inspires others around them - embodying a deep sense of camaraderie that defines any sport's essence! As players continue honing their abilities alongside forming lasting friendships which will endure into adulthood; it becomes clear how dreams can soar above reality, setting us apart from other sports clubs in our area.
Black Diamond's men's soccer team is structured into six divisions, including under 09, 11, 13, 15, and 17. Some players are as young as seven years old, with the primary aim of nurturing players from the age of five onwards. Each division within the Black Diamond men's soccer team emphasises creating a nurturing environment for players to enhance their skills and love for the sport. The under 09 division serves as the starting point for the youngest players, some at the age of five, where they learn fundamental skills, and teamwork while enjoying themselves and forming friendships both on and off the field.
We aim to prepare them for the First Team and the global stage, where they can display their abilities at a competitive level. Coaches at Black Diamond are committed to developing not only skilled players but also to instilling essential values like sportsmanship, resilience, and respect for their teammates and opponents. Irrespective of the division, every player is motivated to dream big and put in the effort to reach their objectives.
